26th Graduation Day Ceremony

The 26th Graduation Day at Valliammal College for Women, Anna Nagar East,Chennai was celebrated with grandeur and elegance on 2nd July 2016 in the college premises. The College Principal Dr. T.V.S Padmaja welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. Bhaskaran, Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Open University was the chief guest for the function. He spoke on the importance of women empowerment and encouraged the girls to become powerful women entrepreneurs.

He asked the students to develop small-scale industries for which there are many courses in Indian Universities. He stressed the importance of self-improvement which, in turn, will develop our state and our nation. Dr. M. Bhaskaran distributed the degrees to around 900 students out of which 32 students are University Rank-holders. The Principal administered the pledge and dissolved the graduation day ceremony.
