Alandur metro station has a spacious parking zone

The Alandur metro train station has a huge parking space for bikes, cars and cycles. Chennai Metro now days are doing good business from parking, as many of the stations’ parking lots has been getting occupied. Vadapalani station parking gets full on most days. But Alandur’s parking lot is pretty spacious and seems to have a lot of takers. CMRL has come up with several efficient and sustainable initiatives to increase the patronage such as citing availability of parking space at Metro Stations and launching many last mile connectivity measures like Share Auto, Share Taxi services which are presently available at few metro stations will soon have at all 32 Metro stations. More over the construction of long-awaited foot over bridge at Alandur metro station is finally in progress across the busy GST Road. As part of providing world class infrastructure facilities, CMRL has installed 500 liters capacity RO Drinking Water Plant in Central Metro Station for Public use as free of cost.
