"WORLD SOIL DAY” Celebrated at ICWO

 ICWO, in partnership with Abhay Dan (Trust) and Nightbirde Global Foundation, celebrated "WORLD SOIL DAY" on December 5, 2024, at ICWO Head Office in Chennai as part of its “Go Green Initiative ” The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Anne Josephine Selvam from the Ministry of Environment, spoke about the critical need to protect soil fertility, emphasizing the importance of following government guidelines to ensure it for future generations. 

Mr. Natharsha Malim. H, State Coordinator of AVA, released awareness posters during the event, which included participation from social workers, AHTC club members, college students and professors, media personnel, and the general public. Professors and 150 students from several colleges in Chennai attended, and e-certificates were issued to all participants. 

Mr. A. J. Hariharan, Secretary of ICWO, highlighted that World Soil Day is observed annually to raise awareness about healthy soil and the need to preserve it for future generations.
