Schizophrenia Research Foundation and Press Institute of India presented the SCARF-PII Media for Mental Health Awards to journalists at a function held at SCARF Mental Health Centre, Anna Nagar West Extension on 20th October 2015. The chief guest,actress Revathi presented the awards to the journalists in the presence of Dr.R.Thara, Director SCARF, Mr.Sashi Nair, Director, Press Institute of India and Dr.Jaya Shreedhar, Chairperson of SCARF-PII Awards Committee.
In a bid to promote better awareness about mental health issues Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF) in collaboration with Press Institute of India had instituted the SCARF -PII Media Awards in 2012.This year, the award winning journalists were namely, Ashik Krishnan, Dr.O.K.Muralikrishnan, Dr.Ravindra Munoli, Aliya Bashir and Divya Chandrababu
