Mourning the Orlando shooting incident at Chennai

A candle light tribute and prayers to mourn the tragic shooting incident at Flordia, USA was held on 14th June 2016 at ICWO Head Office at AP 216, 18th Main Road, "I" Block, 6th Street, Vallalar Colony ,Anna Nagar West, Chennai.Speaking on the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary of ICWO said that ICWO along with Gay community organized the candle light tribute to the Florida Gay club shoot out to extend our solidarity and support for the gay people who lost their lives and the suffering. Mr.Vasu (Vasugi) Gay Activist from Chennai said he was shocked to hear the news. He said all their hard work for decades has gone in vain.

Ms.Seenu (Sneha Dharmendran) Peer Educator and Gay Activist, said Even in the developed countries the gay community does not have security and such terrorist activities should be severely condemned. Speaking on the occasion Ms.Mary Dayana, project Manager of ICWO said that ICWO has organized the sad tribute to express concern and care for the gay community. Indian Community Welfare Organisation is a Non Governmental Organisation working in various developmental projects with special focus to women and children for the past 21 years in Chennai.
