World Homeless Day observed with prayers by ICWO

Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO), together with Greater Chennai Corporation initiated “Shelter for Homeless” in Thattankulam Chennai. ICWO observed World Homeless Day on 10th October 2017 at Greater Chennai Corporation Shelter for Homeless, Old Slaughter House, Road, Thattankulam, Chennai. Prayers were rendered by Pastor. Sam Madurai Nayagam, Elshadai Blessing Church, Pothagar & Mr.Molvi, Hafis, V.Mohammed Moinuddin, (Bagavi Imam), Masjid-E-Mohammadi, Puliyanthope and Thiru. S.Hariharan Gurukkal, Vilayattu Vinayagar Temple, T.Nagar. Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary, ICWO in his speech said that the program aims to honour persons who have greatly contribution and made an impressive impact in many peoples life. I felt joyful in participating in the prayer for homeless people across the world, said 63 years old Ms.S.Jayanthi. Ms.B.Subbulakshmi, aged 64 stated that she was grateful to get an opportunity to pray. I joined in the prayer to wish the homeless people across the world a better future, said 60 years old Peter. Ms.Devika Thilak, Deputy Director, ICWO rendered vote of thanks. In her address she thanked the guests participated in the World Homeless Day program for honouring the elderly people and cake cutting function.
