Speaking on the occasion Dr.T.Arul Roncalli, Programme Manager – HSF India said the most important benefit of child counseling is that the children get a safe space to talk to a third person who isn't a parent, sibling or family member. They can openly talk about anything and everything which helps the counselor to understand the child and it helps the child to feel better. Allow victims to share their experiences so that we might learn about the types of support and protection services that children need. Psychological research could also address effective techniques for interviewing victims of trafficking. Childhood trauma through child counseling is crucial for improving mental, emotional, and physical health outcomes. It can lead to improved relationships, reduce the risk of developing mental health disorders, and improve overall well-being. The convention was jointly organised by ICWO - Indian Community Welfare Organisation, DLSA-District Legal Services Authority Chennai & Department of Labour, Government of Tamilnadu & Supported by HSF India - Hanns Seidel Foundation.
