As part of ICWO – Abhay Dan Trust initiative Installation of 2nd Water Dispenser inaugurated at Om Maha Ganapathi Temple, Thangam Colony, Anna Nagar West, Chennai was inaugurated by Mr.T.V.Shemmozhi, Counsillor Ward 104 followed by distribution of Cool Butter Milk, Water Melon & Cucumber for the public to beat the heat waves in Chennai started on 14th September 2024.
Speaking on the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary- ICWO said the 1st Water Dispenser in Asiad Colony was installed and it is well utilized by lot of people and well maintained. Based on the success, we have installed the 2nd Water Dispenser at Thangam Colony, Om Maha Ganapathy Temple, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040. He also mentioned that with support of Abhay Dan Trust ICWO implemented various project benefiting poor and multiple marginalized people in Chennai.
In the presence of Mr.R.K.Puviarassu, Deputy Area Engineer, Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Board and Ms.S.R.Nivetha, Assistant Engineer, Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Board, Mr.K.Sunmugam,Temple Kurukal, Mr.R.Muthuswamy, President, Thangam Colony Welfare Association, Mr.K.Ganesan, Trustee, Om Maha Ganapathy Temple, Mr.J.Jai Sankar, Trustee, Om Maha Ganapathy Temple, Mr.Devadoss, Trustee, Om Maha Ganapathy Temple, Mr.Bagiyaraj, Senior Advocate, Madras High Court.
During the inauguration 400 buttermilk cups, 300 Water Melon and 300 Cucumber were distributed.
This program was volunteered by ICWO Intern Students from M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women.
