ICWO - Indian Community Welfare Organisation with the support of Little Drops Charity Trust, Scotland, UK supported 3 sexually abused minor girl child survivors and their family members in Chennai.
During the first week of August 2024, the 3 mothers of survivors were discussed and assessed immediate need to rebuild the life of their child and to stabilize their family. They have come out with list of requirements for help. Based on our request they prioritized and selected few immediate support.
The needs were documented and worked out based on the immediate need a short proposal developed and submitted to Little Drops Charity Trust, Scotland, UK with their board approval and kind support. We were able to support the 3 sexually abused minor girl child survivors and their family members in Chennai.
The award amount was given in a cheque to credit in their bank account. During the Award function Mr.M.Rajkumar, Chairperson - Child Welfare Committee-CWC, Chennai, Mr.A.Bakthavatchalam, Member - Child Welfare Committee – CWC, A.J.Hariharan, Secretary- ICWO, Ms.Praveena Solomon, State Co-ordinator, ICWO, Mr.A.Nagalingam, ICWO staff and CWC Staff participated.
During the Interaction with the beneficiaries:-
(1). Respected contributors. I have received the monetary benefits, which was told by the ICWO. This is truly a timely support. I am grounded with gratitude, my heartfelt thanks to the contributors. I was totally left with zero resources to meet my needs. This contribution has made my days. ICWO staffs are wonderful people. Thank you so much for the kindness you show towards me and humanity.
(2). Respectable ICWO and Little Drops Charitable Trust financially we are struggling for children school fees and my husband's medical expenses. This grant is very helpful for our family. I and my family members are thankful to you all. There are many more families in this situation, kindly help them too. You look like a god before our eyes. Thank you!
(3). Dear Hariharan sir and Little Drops Charity Trust, when I explained my problem, you understood my family situation and solved my financial problems through your kind support. This support brings a big relief to our family, After a very long time, I can sleep well tonight. Thank you so much.
