ICWO-TN & AVA New Delhi jointly appeal for enforcement to include trafficking Section against the offenders

A 16-year-old girl, who was employed as a domestic help in Aminjikarai was found dead in the toilet of the house where she was working under mysterious circumstances.  

The deceased girl's condition reveals that she was constantly tortured.  The preliminary investigation reveals that the minor girl was allegedly subjected to constant torture by her employers, including burns from a hot iron and cigarette butts before she succumbed to her injuries at a flat at Mehta Nagar in the Aminjikarai area. 

The victim girl came from a poor economic background and didn't have father.The incident came to light when the owner of the rented house, where the victim was employed, found out about the suspicious death of the housekeeper and alerted the police. Initially the FIR was registered as suspicious death later amended and included the penal section of BNS, JJ, POCSO and SC/ST act. 

Association for Voluntary Action, New Delhi and Indian Child Welfare Organization (ICWO) strongly condemned the last killing of the minor girl.

In addition, the organizations made an appeal to the police to incorporate the Trafficking section for severe punishment.
