As a part of the rehabilitation post Chennai floods,
the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Government of
Tamilnadu, conducted a Medical Camp in Valliammal College for Women, Anna Nagar,
Chennai on 17.12.2015. DR.Saravanan, Medical Officer of Govt.Mohanakumaramangalam
Medical College, Salem along with a team of seven members conducted the medical
camp representing KG Hospital,Chepauk,Chennai in the college premises. On
initiation of the College,the students were treated for infections and ailments.They
were also given free medicines. Mr.S.Balaji, Health Inspector (HUD,Vellore)
along with his team inspected the campus and provided Chlorine treatment. Under
the able guidance of Mrs. Catherine, Senior Entomologist (Govt.Medical College,
Trichy) Fogging treatment was done for the prevention of epidemic outbreaks
like Dengue,Malaria and Chikungunya.The students were also educated on the
preventive measures of the epidemic outbreaks.
