In order to encourage more young voters to
take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to
celebrate January 25 every year as "National Voters'
Day." As part of 9th National Voters Day, the students of
Valliammal College for Women , Anna Nagar East, Chennai took a pledge about
exercising one's voting rights on 25th January 2019. The main purpose of the
celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize the enrollment, especially
for the new voters.
