On account of Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June
15th, the hairdressing women from Oasis India NGO dressed up the elderly women
in ICWO- Indian Community Welfare Organisation-I.C.W.O. run Shelter for the
Homeless People, Choolai. Mrs.Sumathi, Ward Councilor graced the occasion. It
gave the women, happiness and joy to walk the ramp beautifully dressed in
sarees forgetting about their sorrows. The Hairdressing women also felt they
contributed back to the society through this community engagement initiative.
Oasis India, an NGO which works in anti-human
trafficking runs a free hairdressing project for women in Vysarpadi. They
collaborate with ICWO - Indian Community Welfare Organisation on anti-human
trafficking initiatives.
